25 years

I'm still working on this thing called the Internet, or more specifically, the World Wide Web. It's been 25 years now. Working on this thing, once full of frontpages and directories of links that point to other frontpages. We'd be in awe of <blink> and <marquee> tags.
Those were the days, well, not really. The web sucked. It sucked big time. It was utterly awful. But still, it was new and shiny. You could do things you couldn't do before. It wasn't about the new technology. It was about more than that.
We knew something new was emerging after the cold war and that sounded okay to us. The children of the silent generation was given a new voice, a brand new perspective. How could I pass that up?
