iWeb’s HTML is a bit whiffy

iWeb, Apple’s new iLife app spits out front-end code that’s a bit lacking in quality. Thank god, for a minute there I thought I was going to have to retrain as a visual basic developer.

But thankfully I don’t have to kill myself. As Tod Dominey and Sam Kass pointed out the HTML and CSS that iWeb generates really sucks. It’s likely that not all templates are this bad but iWeb will never be high quality. Building websites is just not that strait forward. It requires knowledge and understanding of it’s content and it’s overal purpose. iWeb like solutions are to give consumers some way of utilising the web and connecting with others. In fact these solutions are fine for contacting the people you already know.

If you need to be found on the web, if you need to refresh, modify and maintain content on the web you’d be way better off having a more specialised solution.
