I share Jon's exclamation. It seems that as of late many have begun to redesign their sites. Who started it first? I enjoy seeing others redesigns and I especially like seeing them take place live. For me, I have redesigned about 4 times already and it has been an important learning experience for me. Watching other's process evolve helps as well. So, as far as redesigns, keep 'em coming. Egor, I can appreciate your reluctance and can only say that judging by the design of this site - your next will be just as beautiful.

Egor: The only thing that bothers me about your site (and it may not be your fault) is you background. It gives of a weird "electrical disturbance" on my monitor. It literally vibrates. Oh well.

I generally make a complete overhaul of the look and feel once a year. Often leaving the structure intact along with the editorial stance. This look and feel is just over half a year old so style wise not much will change. In fact switching font weight was one of the main alterations and that was done to accommodate longer texts as a result of my shifting editorial stance. A redesign doesn't necessarily mean a style change however compromise in unavoidable so sometimes style aspects must give way as did the bold typeface.
Paul, my background works best on a CRT monitor, some have described it as "velvety". The sharper image from a LCD can make the background a bit dodgy. I looked at the background on different monitors when designing the site and decided that I could live with it. I was thinking of changing it after I switched to a 19inch LCD after my CRT kicked the bucket. It doesn't look very electric on my screen but I'll take another stab at the background, see if anything better pops up.

You probably don't need this comment, but the bg looks good on my monitor (standard). I kinda like the whole page design to be honest :)

Take your time. We all know how easy it is to want to jump in and redesign. I've been very tempted lately but I'm sticking to a pact I made with myself not to redesign my site for at least a year.
If you've got a site you like and your users are happy with it also, it might be better to leave it alone for awhile and make gradual changes.
Even if you feel you can make usability improvements you need to think about the effect they'll have on users who already know how to get around your site.
I think what you've got is great. I'm not saying, "don't change a thing." But, it's good so there's no pressure! ;)
